Background

Shannon is a climber and outdoor professional from Northern Kentucky whose love for climbing began through competitive bouldering in college.

Once introduced to the outdoor industry, her passion led her to pursue a Wilderness Leadership and Experiential Education degree at Brevard College. During the summers, Shannon worked with kids on ropes courses at summer camp, as a waterfall rappel guide, and led sea kayaking trips to see orca whales! Since graduating in 2025, she has become an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor and is actively pursuing her WEMT to further support her work in the field. Shannon spends her time outside climbing, paddling, and hiking. You’ll often find her at local coffee shops, volunteering with the Transylvania County Rescue Squad, or teaching young climbers at the Brevard Rock Gym. She is driven to introduce others to the joy of the outdoors and adventure sports!
