Meet Alex Cobb
Background
Born in a small town near Greensboro, NC, Alex has been climbing since he could walk. Learning to climb at areas such as Moore's Wall, Pilot Mountain and Sauratown in the foothills of North Carolina.
While attending Western Carolina University he found his passion for outdoor education and climbing instruction, soon after obtaining his AMGA SPI certification. Teaching rock climbing classes and leading multi day climbing trips for the universities parks and recreation management program, and outdoor recreation program as well as coaching the universities climbing team. Alex has climbed extensively in the US to include the granite and quartzite of NC, the sandstone of TN, KY and WV. Ice and rock in NH and NY to the rugged mountains of the west in CA, CO, WY and UT. When Alex is not climbing you can find him working on an ambulance, hiking, Mountain biking and in the winter, ski patrolling.
